Cattai Wetlands Interpretive Signage

Cattai Wetlands (Gattai Gattai) are part of the traditional lands of the Biripi Aboriginal people (Guris). Located at the confluence of Coopernook and Cattai Creeks, the wetlands provided the ideal living conditions for the local Guri tribes. The permanent supply of freshwater supported a diverse range of flora and fauna which were used for food, shelter and medicinal purposes. The seven signs located around the wetlands feature illustrations created by local Guris and are synergistic with the MidCoast Council brand.
