Nadine here to give you a little more information about my social enterprise.

Design Ship offers non-designers (at social enterprises) free and continual access to design expertise regardless of where they’re at or other designers they might outsource to.

It’s a form of mentorship matched to design as a capability, and with the nature of social enterprises they’re a great construct for design stewardship… which embraces Country and indigenous tradition of wisdom sharing and lifelong learning.

And gives designers a new form of human connection, both in terms of the people they’re working with and a unique community of practice.

Design Ship has been informed by my own life work which has had a focus on design empowerment and design as a strategic capability. It also expresses my ethos of design is human connection and a lever of community-centric social progress.

So right now, we’re in a transition from an information economy to a wisdom economy, so it’s the perfect time to lay the foundation of design stewardship and position Australia as the world leader of design stewardship.

This is my big vision, I hope it resonates with you, I can’t achieve it on my own. Thank you for this opportunity, I hope to hear from you some time soon.
